The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized a scientific seminar entitled (Effect of Biochar Addition on the Physical and Chemical Properties of Soil) for undergraduate student (Bachelor’s): Haider Falah Hassan, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abbas Ali Hussein Al-Amiri, and in the presence of undergraduate students.

The seminar included several topics, starting with an introduction to biochar and its role in influencing soil properties and plant productivity, as well as its role in reducing soil alkalinity.

The student stated that the aim of the study is to demonstrate the effect of biochar on soil and its aeration. He also referred to the methods used to measure some study parameters, such as soil pH and the proportions of elements in the soil before and after addition, explaining the extent of their impact on the soil.
