Implementation of the First Scientific Study within the Postgraduate Program in Landscape Gardening in Karbala Governorate

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala, and under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Harith Mahmoud Aziz, Head of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening , the committee assigned for follow-up conducted a field visit to the site of implementation of the master’s research project of the student Sama Abdul Hussein Najm, supervised by Dr. Zainab Nouri Saleh, within the postgraduate program in the specialization of Landscape Gardening .

The visit was carried out by a committee formed from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening , which included:
Professor Dr. Alaa Abbas Ali (Chair),
Assistant Professor Dr. Sabah Abdul Faleh (Member),
Lecturer Razzaq Owaiz Eidan (Member),
Assistant Lecturer Ali Hussein Ali,
Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed.

During the visit, the committee reviewed the site of implementation of the research plan aimed at developing the road linking Holy Karbala and Holy Najaf, extending to the Karbala International Airport area. The committee also listened to the student’s ideas and proposals and provided scientific remarks that would enhance the significance of the study and raise the level of its research outputs, contributing to the possibility of benefiting from it in the future by relevant authorities.

This study represents the first scientific research implemented within the postgraduate program in the specialization of Landscape Engineering in Karbala Governorate, reflecting the College of Agriculture’s commitment to supporting applied scientific research and linking it to the needs of urban and environmental development.
