Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sabah Ghazi Sharif, and with the sponsorship of the Student Activities Unit, the five-a-side football tournament was concluded on Thursday, 4/25/2024, which was organized and supervised by the Student Activities Unit in the College of Agriculture and the college students. It was held on the grounds of the closed sports hall in Al-Husseiniyah district, and the closing ceremony was attended by a number of faculty members and fans of the college’s students, in addition to a number of guests.
The final match, which was held between the teams of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, and the team of the Field Crops Department, jointly with the Department of Food Science, ended. The Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Department won with a score of five goals to one.
At the conclusion of the match, prizes were distributed, including championship cups for the first and second winners, medals of honor for all players of both teams, shields, and various gifts for the best player, the best goalkeeper, the tournament’s top scorer, and the tournament’s photographer. All attendees praised the work of the tournament organizing committee and appreciated all the efforts that led to its success.
