The conference showcased 46 research projects conducted by postgraduate students at the research stage of their Master’s and Ph.D. studies across all departments of the college. These departments include Plant Protection, Horticulture and Landscape Plant, Field Crops, and Animal Production. A keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul-Jalil Lahouf on the role of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, highlighting its importance in helping students conduct their research in line with scientific and societal developments.

The Vice President praised the efforts made by both the students and their supervisors in completing what he described as “distinguished and practical” research, emphasizing that these studies could be effectively employed to solve various issues across governmental sectors, particularly in agriculture and academia. He also noted that the university is open to receiving challenges from government institutions in order to address them through innovative and high-quality student projects.
For his part, the Dean of the College emphasized the importance of the conference, noting that it presents a set of projects completed by students under the supervision of faculty members. These projects offer effective solutions to a range of problems in various sectors, and governmental institutions in need can benefit from them to enhance operational flexibility.
The conference serves as a bridge between academic educational outcomes and the agricultural needs of the community, by providing an opportunity for government institutions in the province to adopt applicable projects that can help solve existing issues or streamline processes within certain sectors.
