The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized the Green Day Festival, held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, with the support of the Governor of Holy Karbala, Engineer Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, and under the supervision of the President of the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali. This reflects the official commitment to promoting agricultural education and scientific research in Iraq.
The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Plant participated in the festival following a series of preparations and meetings led by the Head of the Department, Dr. Harith Mahmood Aziz, in coordination with the teaching staff and administrative team. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the festival as a platform to showcase the department’s achievements and to foster a spirit of collaboration between students and faculty members.
It is worth noting that the Green Day Festival is considered one of the university’s prominent annual events, aiming to raise environmental and agricultural awareness among students and the local community. It also serves as a platform for presenting innovations and scientific research in the field of agriculture.
