Under the direction of the respected Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Plant at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, held a workshop entitled “Using the Spectrophotometer Device in Measuring Various Tests.” The workshop was presented by the Head of the Department of Horticulture, Assistant Professor Dr. Harith Mahmoud Aziz, and Lecturer Mr. Yaseen Sabah Kamel.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the spectrophotometer device and its working mechanism in analyzing the chemical properties of plant samples. It included a detailed explanation of the device’s principle of operation, in addition to practical applications, with the goal of demonstrating the device’s role in accurate analysis for estimating nutrient levels in plants.
The Dean of the College of Agriculture emphasized that this type of workshop represents a fundamental tool in research and in supporting agricultural production based on modern scientific principles.
