College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala Holds a Workshop Entitled:“Promoting a Culture of Strategic Thinking and Planning in Higher Education Institutions”

As part of the scientific activities organized by the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala, a workshop was held today in the Martyr Hassan Nasrallah Hall under the title:
“Promoting a Culture of Strategic Thinking and Planning in Higher Education Institutions.”

The workshop was presented by:
• Prof. Dr. Sarmad Asad Khan Mohsen
• Assistant Lecturer Hasan Ali Abd

The aim of the workshop was to emphasize the importance of fostering a culture of strategic thinking and planning within higher education institutions, as an effective tool for achieving institutional development and enhancing the quality of education.

The workshop addressed several key topics, including:
• Fundamental concepts of strategic thinking and planning
• Stages of developing strategic plans in academic institutions
• Use of strategic analysis tools (SWOT and PEST)
• Showcasing successful experiences in applying strategic planning in higher education

The event witnessed active participation and engagement from the faculty members and staff of the college, who enriched the session with their scientific discussions and contributions, underscoring the importance of embedding this mindset across all aspects of university work.
