Under the guidance of Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Kareem, Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala, and the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Yasser Nasser Hussein, Head of the Department of Plant Protection, the department organized a field day as part of the practical training activities for its students on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
A group of faculty members from the department participated in the activity, during which the students prepared agricultural fields, carried out planting, and arranged plastic houses. The event served as a practical scientific experiment aimed at linking theoretical knowledge with field application and enhancing the students’ hands-on skills as part of the practical component of their courses.
This activity reflects the college’s commitment to preparing qualified agricultural engineers who possess both scientific and practical expertise and are capable of performing their professional duties efficiently, in line with the College of Agriculture’s goals of developing students’ practical skills and serving the agricultural community.
