A Scientific Field Trip for Food Science Students to Al-Kafeel Dairy Factory to Enhance the Practical Aspect of Study

The Department of Food Science at the College of Agriculture – University of Kerbala organized a scientific field trip on Sunday, October 26, 2025, to Noor Al-Kafeel Company for Al-Kafeel Dairy Factory, with the participation of second- and third-year students, under the supervision of several faculty members.

The trip aimed to familiarize students with the manufacturing processes of dairy products and the microbial tests conducted during the production stages, in order to strengthen the practical and applied aspects of the curriculum and link them to theoretical knowledge.

The department stated that such field activities contribute to developing students’ skills and preparing them for the requirements of the labor market in the field of food industries. This trip is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Food Science to enhance the scientific and practical competence of its students and to strengthen collaboration with national industrial institutions.
