Under the slogan “Modern Agriculture Toward Sustainable Food Security,” the Agricultural Research Center, one of the formations of the Scientific Research Authority affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, organized the First Agricultural Forum in Iraq.
The College of Agriculture – University of Kerbala participated in the forum with a delegation headed by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem (Dean of the College), and included:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kazem Mohammed Abdullah – Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs
Prof. Dr. Abdul-Zahra Jabbar Ali – Head of the Department of Food Science
Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul-Jalil Luhuf – Director of the Scientific Journal Unit
Mr. Raad Kareem Mujbil – Graduate Student
The forum witnessed fruitful scientific interaction, during which experiences and research visions were exchanged with a group of specialists and researchers. The discussions contributed to strengthening the foundations of scientific cooperation between the parties and supporting efforts to develop the agricultural sector in Iraq.
The college’s delegation also participated in the sessions of the Plant Protection and Pest Management track, chaired by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, where several scientific challenges and solutions in this field were discussed.
At the conclusion of the forum, the Dean was honored by the Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of the Scientific Research Authority, in appreciation of his participation and for representing the University of Kerbala in this scientific event.
