the College of Agriculture organized a series of scientific seminars for its third-year students as part of the academic requirements for the course “Food Microbiology” for the current academic year, within the framework of activating student research activities.
The seminars, held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Manal Abdul Wahid and Assistant Lecturer Aṭlal Hakim, featured a number of specialized scientific presentations. The students highlighted key topics in the field of food microbiology, with a strong focus on research applications related to food safety and quality assurance, as well as the study of the microscopic characteristics of microorganisms associated with food industries.
The sessions included in-depth scientific discussions, during which the supervisors provided valuable academic feedback aimed at enhancing students’ scientific analysis abilities and refining their presentation and public speaking skills. The discussions also emphasized stimulating critical thinking and linking theoretical content with practical applications, in line with modern technological developments and the needs of the labor market in the food science sector.
These activities are part of the strategic vision of the College of Agriculture to elevate the academic level of its students and encourage their engagement in scientific research and active participation in academic activities, in support of their future professional careers.
