The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agriculture held an awareness workshop on violence against women, aiming to shed light on this serious social phenomenon and to clarify its causes and repercussions on the individual, the family, and society.

The workshop addressed the main causes of violence against women, foremost among them weak legal awareness, the absence of family dialogue, and misunderstandings of women’s social roles. It also discussed the different forms of violence—physical, psychological, and verbal—highlighting their negative effects on family stability and social cohesion.

The workshop emphasized the importance of promoting legal and cultural awareness and spreading a culture of dialogue and mutual respect as fundamental pillars for reducing violence and building a safer and more just social environment.
