Within the framework of the participation and institutional reform pillar of the global 16 Days Campaign to End Violence against Women, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, organized an in-person awareness workshop on Wednesday, 17/12/2025, entitled “Providing a Safe Work Environment for Women in Accordance with Legal Regulations and Implementation Mechanisms.”
The workshop aimed to raise women’s awareness of their legal, social, and political rights, contributing to their empowerment to defend these rights and enhance their active participation in the workplace and society. It also emphasized the importance of strengthening knowledge of the legal regulations governing a safe work environment and clarifying the mechanisms for their implementation to ensure the protection of women from various forms of violence and discrimination.
The workshop stressed the necessity of empowering women to claim their legitimate rights within legal frameworks, while highlighting the role of academic institutions in supporting institutional reform policies and promoting a culture of justice and equality, in line with national directions aimed at providing a safe and supportive work environment for women.
