A faculty member from the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala chairs a master’s thesis defense committee at the University of Al-Qasim Green

Under the auspices of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening at the College of Agriculture, University of Al-Qasim Green, a faculty member from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, chaired a master’s thesis defense committee, as part of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and supporting the advancement of scientific research in postgraduate studies.

Professor Dr. Alaa Abbas Ali chaired the defense session of the master’s thesis submitted by the student Noor Al-Huda Jawad Kazem, entitled “Effect of Two Citrus Rootstocks and Foliar Application of Certain Treatments on the Growth of Grapefruit (Duncan cultivar) Seedlings.” The thesis was discussed in an in-depth scientific manner before the specialized examination committee, allowing for constructive academic dialogue and the exchange of scientific expertise.

The session witnessed an extensive discussion of the results and scientific outputs, and the committee’s comments contributed to enriching the research. After the thesis had fulfilled the requirements of scientific research, it was approved for the award of the Master’s degree.

This participation reflects the active role played by the faculty members of the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala in supporting postgraduate students, contributing to the advancement of scientific research, and strengthening academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, positively impacting the development of scientific and research competencies.
