The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening participated in the Innovation and Scientific Products Exhibition held as part of University Day activities at the University of Kerbala, under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdulhussein Karim, with the follow-up of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Harith Mahmoud Aziz.
The department’s participation was distinguished through the presentation of a number of projects and scientific innovations, including miniature glass gardens, mushroom production techniques, dried fruit processing, and hydroponic systems. In addition, scientific findings derived from master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, faculty publications, and products from the department’s greenhouses and fields were showcased, reflecting the level of scientific and applied progress achieved by the department.
The attendees, led by the University President and the Dean of the College, praised the outstanding quality of the exhibited projects, commending the scientific efforts made and emphasizing the important role played by the department in serving the community and strengthening the link between scientific research, agricultural sector needs, and sustainable development requirements.
