Students of the College of Life Sciences Visit the College of Agriculture to Strengthen Scientific Cooperation – University of Kerbala

On Tuesday, 17/2/2026, a delegation of students and faculty members from the College of Life Sciences visited the College of Agriculture – University of Kerbala, as part of a comprehensive scientific field visit that included all departments of the college. The visit aimed to enhance academic cooperation and interdisciplinary knowledge integration among scientific specializations.

The scientific delegation was received by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, along with department heads and specialized faculty members. They provided a detailed overview of the scientific and practical programs in the fields of plant protection, horticulture, animal production, field crops, and food sciences, as well as methods for improving agricultural productivity.

The visit included tours of the various departmental laboratories, experimental agricultural fields, plant and animal production units, and the college apiary. The students were introduced to the latest laboratory and field equipment and technologies, biological control programs, and methods of supporting the agricultural sector in the province.

Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim emphasized that such visits contribute to linking the theoretical knowledge students acquire in classrooms with practical application. He also noted that they enhance opportunities for research collaboration between the two colleges, preparing a generation of researchers capable of providing scientific solutions to environmental and agricultural challenges.

Professor Dr. Yasser Nasser Hussein, the supervisor of the visit’s organization, stated that such scientific meetings open new horizons for cooperation in graduation projects and joint research between the two colleges, expressing his appreciation for the warm reception and excellent organization.

The delegation from the College of Life Sciences commended the efforts of the teaching staff at the College of Agriculture in terms of organization and cooperation, affirming their desire to repeat such scientific visits that enrich their academic journey and broaden their scientific perspectives.
