The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agriculture organized an in-person workshop entitled (Effective Communication Skills between Students and Academic Staff).
The workshop aims to develop verbal and non-verbal communication skills among students and faculty members, enhance active listening skills and understanding of diverse perspectives, and reduce misunderstandings and conflicts within the university environment. It also seeks to improve constructive dialogue and professional conflict-resolution methods, promote a culture of mutual respect and academic discipline, and empower students to express their opinions and suggestions confidently and courteously. Furthermore, the workshop highlights the importance of improving formal communication channels, such as university email, electronic platforms, and academic meetings.
