Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein, the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized today a protest gathering condemning the assassination of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified). The event was held on campus, where faculty members and students expressed their rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism targeting religious and political figures, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding social peace and stability.
The gathering was attended by the Assistant Deans, Heads of Scientific Departments, faculty members, staff, and students of the college, who stressed the need to promote the values of dialogue and coexistence and to prioritize reason in addressing crises.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, the Dean affirmed that the university has always been and will continue to be a platform for knowledge and moderate thought, calling for the consolidation of a culture of peace and the rejection of extremism, in line with the mission of the academic institution in serving society.
The gathering concluded with prayers for the protection of Iraq and its people from all harm, and for security and stability to prevail across the region.
