The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized a wide tree-planting campaign within the college corridors and gardens, with the participation of a number of faculty members, students, and staff. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts aimed at increasing green spaces and improving the university environment.
The campaign was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, with the participation of the college’s various departments. During the campaign, a number of trees and ornamental plants were planted in the gardens and open areas of the college. This initiative comes in response to directives emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and raising environmental awareness among students.
The campaign aims to promote a culture of tree planting among students and staff, in addition to improving the aesthetic appearance of the college and providing a healthy university environment that supports the educational process. Participants in the campaign also emphasized the importance of continuing such voluntary activities that strengthen the spirit of cooperation and responsibility toward the environment.
This campaign is part of a series of environmental activities carried out by the college to support environmental sustainability, combat desertification, and increase green spaces within the university campus.
