University of Karbala – College of Agriculture Organizes an Awareness Campaign on Family Upbringing and the Role of Women in Building Society

As part of its commitment to promoting family and social awareness, the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized an awareness campaign titled “Family Upbringing and the Role of Women in Building Society,” within the activities of the University’s Women’s Affairs Unit.

The campaign aimed to promote the concepts of proper family upbringing and to highlight the educational and awareness-raising role of women in strengthening social values. Informative brochures were distributed, addressing a range of topics that encourage conscious family culture.

The campaign emphasized that women represent the cornerstone in raising generations and shaping social values, noting that sound family upbringing forms the foundation for building a cohesive society based on respect and responsibility.

The brochures covered several key topics, including:
• The principles of positive communication among family members.
• The mother’s role in instilling moral and educational values.
• The importance of balancing family life and work.
• Promoting a culture of family dialogue and protecting children from negative behaviors.

The head of the Women’s Affairs Unit explained that this initiative is part of a series of awareness programs aimed at empowering women academically and socially, as well as enhancing their capacity to contribute to family and community building on solid scientific and educational grounds.

At the end of the event, the College of Agriculture administration expressed its appreciation for the outstanding efforts made by the Women’s Affairs Unit in making the campaign a success, affirming the continuation of similar activities that strengthen family values and reinforce the role of women in community development.
